The COACH Model
Based on the book, The COACH Model by Dr. Keith Webb, this professional workshop is created for both young and mature levels of (leadership) experience. It has been used and updated to train Christian leaders around the globe since 2004, who have seen significant improvements for their own well-being and enhanced the impact of their work.
As Keith puts it:
"When I learned these skills everything changed for me:
- I moved from convincing people to releasing people.
- Other people took more responsibility, more ownership, and were less critical.
- I became more effective with people one-on-one.
- My stress went down and my schedule lightened, yet more ministry was accomplished.
- I saw the application in people's lives skyrocket.
These skills can help you too, not just how you do things - but the results you get."
The workshop has its foundations in the Christian faith but all are welcome.
"I'm amazed at both the mindset change this training has produced in me, as well as the practical skills it has given me in such a short time. I really look forward to further practicing what I have learned and fully believe it will add value to my everyday relationships and conversations, as well as people I mentor and disciple in the future."
~ Student worker
"Such a powerful tool for influencing your relationships with family and friends. Even if I never professionally coach, I feel so much more equipped to help those that are close to me. I have also become a better listener using the questions provided for me through this course."
~ Overseas missionary
"Katie & Claire are a great duo. They've both got great experiences to draw from when giving relevant examples. That was really helpful. I look forward to using this course as a launch pad for coaching others. It's a great foundation!"
~ Member care (HR) manager
"The Coach Model workshop [online] was a really great experience. It was so encouraging to be half way around the world and have the opportunity for this type of training. The trainers were skilled and so helpful. I can't wait to start putting the skills I learned into practice."
~ Team leader
What will you learn?
Over the course of three days, you will become familiar with the COACH Model® and use it to coach other participants.
During this interactive three-day workshop you will learn to:
- Listen actively so others feel heard and understood.
- Ask powerful questions that increase awareness and create possibilities.
- Generate feedback that avoids defensiveness and inspires growth.
- Design action steps that motivate and encourage forward movement.
- Follow-up to increase learning and accountability.
The workshop both integrates and includes specific times focussed on the varying work and home contexts of participants and how coach skills could best be applied there.
Instead of the burden of responsibility to fix, problem-solve, or 'have all the answers'…walk away equipped to create space, build trust, generate solutions, build momentum to get things done, and stimulate growth in others.

About the facilitator (me):
I am an ICF-accredited coach (ACC) and have had my own coaching business since 2013 and offered my first coach skills training in 2016. I love the opportunity coaching provides to come alongside others and be a part of their journey of growth and greater well-being, whether a colleague, friend, or client.
I grew up in the Netherlands with Irish/English parents, and worked in international development cooperation for government and non-profits in Africa and Europe for 10 years. I have also been involved in church settings in many different roles: leading community groups, music, retreats, and facilitating workshops.
Today I mainly work with people experiencing major life or career transitions, creative entrepreneurs, and social impact professionals. I work online and in-person, in Dutch and English, and am based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, with my husband Nate.
I am passionate about using coaching to support people to live healthy, empowered, and fulfilled lives and training others to use these skills which foster life-giving communities and workspaces.
